Dave Adams, a surfer for decades was inducted into the Florida Skateboarding hall of fame for being a legend. Go Dave. Austin Mcwhorter was at a fishing contest around the North Pinellas beaches hosted by the Ozona Fish Camp marina in Ozona. I’ve been surfing with Austin for probably a decade now. We’ve even been over to the bay to fish the Safety Harbor area. Austin’s boat took second place in a pool of 20 boats. Great job on another successful tournament result.
Yana Smith is pretty cool. She’s a mother with a son who she takes surfing. She caught some great waves the other day! Happy Mother’s day to all the mothers.
The honeymoon webcam is live again! This webcam was up many years ago. They took it down for some reason. I would guess they lost funding for it or something. It used to be an image I could embed on my site. That option seems to be gone dang it. Still, glad to see it back!
We’re expecting a big win tonight when the lightning play game 7 of the Stanley Cup playoffs. It’s been a hard fought battle. The series is tied at 3 to 3. It was looking like they were going to head to the Stanley Cup final when in the last period the Islanders found the back of the net to tie it up, keeping their hopes alive for just a little longer. Those hopes will be squashed tonight after the lightning show them how the Tampa Bay Lightning took home the cup last time. The game tonight is going to be broadcast at 8pm eastern. It’s sure to be be a great game!
I was looking for a job yesterday. I looked on the Pinellas County Sheriff’s website. They have a few listings on there. I went to fill out the application, which I didn’t complete. One of the questions was: Please list your tattoos. That is a super inappropriate question. That isn’t something an employer should be asking. I don’t care who you are. What if I had the word Mom tattooed on my ass. Do they really need to know that? That’s what a job interview is for. It felt like they were taking my personal information to store in their profiling database or something. WTF is wrong with people? Who hurt these people who hire people?
Clearwater Beach has decided to cancel this years 4th of July fireworks as a preventative measure in the wake of the effects of Covid 19. You won’t have the breath-taking sights of the biggest firworks show in the county this year. Many visitors form the area will have to find other ways to celebrate the fourth. You can still get down to the beach and create a massive fireworks display of your own. Wouldn’t that be fun. Blow some shit up. ‘Merica. This action will hopefully prevent the further spread of this harmful virus.
