The snook and redfish red tide harvest ban is officially lifted by midnight tonight according to the state regulatory agency’s website. Redfish will soon be a fish you can take home again, but snook will remain closed due to the regular closure during their summer spawn. Boating in Dunedin, March 10, 2018
The tide is super high right now. Should be a decent outgoing. Who knows what will happen. The weather is nice; the water is warming, the breeze is cool, the wildlife are already letting me know they’re here. A couple big great blue heron just buzzed my boat feet away in flight. I’m gonna have to find some protection with the stiff breeze on this flat bottom boat. If nothing else this will be to run the motor so I know it works on days that get planned. If nothing else I’ll drop more iphone pics later.
Hooked a big redfish today. The timing was off, but the results were fantastic. Video and info coming soon. Putting away the boat now. Check back to see how it all went down.
