Noon Surf’s Up Surf Report :
Professional Surfer’s Take The Ocean to Battle For The Longest Ride
A group of surfers, some of the best in the world in fact, met up for an event held by the long time surfboard company McTavish surfboards. Riding classic styled boards they were battling for the longest rides; they were trying to find the waves that lined up from way on the outside of the sandbar, the ones that could be ridden all the way to the beach. Some of the surfers were seen riding right up onto the sand, not unusual for the stoked out longboarder who rides the waves from the very peak until they can be ridden no more. The longest ride contest hosted by the McTavish surfboard company was a success.

A small 2 foot swell at an 8 second interval is making its way to the beach. The surf seems to be on the rise with the incoming tide. The high tide peaks at 6 pm this evening. Another significant change in the weather pattern is coming within the next 6-10 days bringing a cold front with prevailing west southwest winds, and the potential for more to follow.
