Locolism

This is a video with a super rad song.  The song is by a band from the Dunedin area of the gulf coast called Locolism.  Their name is not Localism, its Locolism.  This is an awesome song about localism at surf spots.  California is notorious for localism. The video is a compilation of some of the clips from a season.

Sunset Photos – 03/04/2016

As the day drew to a close, and the sun began to set, the decent little swell from this cold front completely filled in.  The air was cool, which kept the beach nearly completely empty, aside from a few photographers, fisherman, tourists, and sunset gazers braving the breezy sweater weather.  The sound of the gentle waves lapping along the shore, and the yellows, oranges, and blues created the most relaxing evening with fun waves. These are gnarly fisheye shots of some meaty tubes from the Sand Key cleanup. Sand Key Gallery – Feb. 25-26, 2016

QS Competitor Rodrigo Cahu

Rodrigo Cahu managed some tricky sections with power and grace on his Brazilian shaped MR surfboard.  Rodrigo is entered in the Qualifying Series event at Cocoa Beach (a QS 1000), the Ron Jon Vans Pro.  This is the only QS event in Florida. He is currently seeded in round 80. If he keeps surfing like he did when we shot this video, he is sure to smoke the competition. If you get over for this contest root him on.
