Hurricane season starts today. Without any hurricanes in sight you’ll have to find something else to keep you busy until something spins up. For those of you extra cautious people you could prepare by collecting the essentail items that you’ll need to keep yourself alive for 72 hours. That’s about how long it takes for help to reach you in a catastrophic weather event like a hurricane.

A little squall just rolled in with hail-like rain pelting the windows on the car. It seems to be clearing at the moment. And in the process of typing this on the phone it just completely stopped. Surf is expected to continue through the evening, and through the weekend. A light rain may also linger for a while. Stepping outside now at 2:26pm the squall has cleared, and another may be following closely behind. The surf is really fun! Probably still worth it!
