On saturday, after the low drags the cool air mass across the gulf, we are still looking at a powerful 988 millibar low pressure system in the northeast, and a cold front boundary almost as far south as the Pacific Ocean.

Cold Front
There is a mild cold front boundary just to the north of us. Unfortunately, it isn’t quite that time of year yet, but it is helping the air start to feel a little more like Fall. You’ll also notice the sun gradually start setting earlier and earlier. Fall surfing is coming!
Surf Forecast: Tropical Depression Nine
The circulation of tropical depression nine is now out over open water. By 00am tomorrow morning the south swell should be headed our way. By 6am there is a good chance we could be waking up to surf, certainly in southwest Florida. Those offshore winds are going to make Tuesday epic. We are coming up on a full moon, so that means the larger tidal swings will have a greater impact on the wave size.
