Surf Outlook: Saturday, 06.18.2016
We are back in that summertime pattern with no significant surf for a very long ways out. If you want to know what’s happening feel free to look at the winds chart of the Global Forecast Model, or watch the Atlantic basin infrared for significant cyclonic formation in the Caribbean.
Surf Outlook: Thursday, 06-16-2016
The water vapor loop image is a fair depiction of the winds we’ve had today in the gulf. There’s just enough wind to make a rideable wave for a longboard or fun-shape surfboard. By mid-day tomorrow the surf will rise to around waist high, a bit better for shortboards. The GFS shows the waves coming directly from the west.
