Surf Outlook: Thursday, 06-16-2016
The water vapor loop image is a fair depiction of the winds we’ve had today in the gulf. There’s just enough wind to make a rideable wave for a longboard or fun-shape surfboard. By mid-day tomorrow the surf will rise to around waist high, a bit better for shortboards. The GFS shows the waves coming directly from the west.

This El Nino season is at it again. A super late season front is slated for this weekend. It’s a moderately strong front dropping into the gulf on Friday. The surf comes up Friday afternoon, increses into Saturday when the size is expected to peak, then be nearly gone by Sunday morning.
