Sandbags and Surf

Reports are coming in from Clearwater Beach and Sunset. The swell is here. It has some solid size. “It’s firing,” says Bubs about Sunset. “Its breaking like a point down the beach,” says Reily about south jetty in Clearwater. Honeymoon looks fun on the cams too. I would guess Honeymoon is the best spot north of central avenue. Sunset is the best spot south of central (without having to go over thr skyway). Its going to be raining a lot so get your sandbags if your in a low lying area with poor drainage, and go surf.

Surf Forecast: Tropical Depression Nine

The circulation of tropical depression nine is now out over open water.  By 00am tomorrow morning the south swell should be headed our way.  By 6am there is a good chance we could be waking up to surf, certainly in southwest Florida. Those offshore winds are going to make Tuesday epic. We are coming up on a full moon, so that means the larger tidal swings will have a greater impact on the wave size.
