Cold Front: The Surf Forecast 02.25.17 (updated Wed, Mar 1st)

WFL Wednesday March, 1st 2017 update: Friday the surf comes up to around 4-5 feet at 6 seconds from the northwest, with winds from the north. The surf peaks between noon and 3pm.  The skies will be cloudy in the morning, clearing by afternoon. The highs are in the low 70s.  In Clearwater the tide comes in from 8:30a-2:30pm, about 2 feet. Cold Front: A Southwest Swell Comes Up This Evening (w/ 3:45p surf report).

It’s another beautiful day!   We’ve got another cold front knocking on our doorstep.  The low is right on the northern edge of the Gulf of Mexico.  The leading edge of the front is draped across pinellas county. It is perfect out; the temperatures actually rise some for the surf tomorrow. The high is 75° for Thursday. Gulf Coast Surf Forecast: Cold Front on Wednesday (revised Sunday night).

There is a cold front moving into the area tomorrow.  The temps will drop a bit, but nothing significant, no surf.  The pattern is getting more active.  The front tomorrow is followed by another front on Wednesday, then a third one at the start of next week.  The surf and weather report below is for the Wednesday/Thursday front.
