Father’s day is fun because it’s the day when we get to think about all the things that make our fathers so important to us, the things that make fathers unique, the good and the bad that we love so much about them. Here’s to waking up before dawn to get on the water, to those midnight wake-ups to get the fish when they’re hungry, and those trips when the squally lightning filled storms are far less important than getting on the snook. You could wish your father a happy father’s day today, maybe even get him a card, but don’t forget to tell him you care.
