This is the biggest Clearwater was all summer. It also similar to the best waves we got all winter. The only drawback was the strong longshore drift. But, man was it pumping.
Someone turned on the wave machine and it got really fun.
This turtles nest lasted through one storm high tide, just barely. The water washed away the stakes, but the tide receded before the water could wash away the buried eggs. The air show spinner sharks put on during our surf is highly characteristic of summertime waves. Fortunately, spinner sharks very infrequently attack humans, and usually only nip you.
