The Surf’s Up Surf Report :
Saturday 7:30am:
Well, it’s still flat this morning. It turns out the surf from yesterday afternoon was generated by a field of wind from the low that’s sitting over Florida. Looking further out into the Gulf of Mexico we see swell on the horizon. However, it’s still a long ways out, and there’s a question of how much degradation will occur between the waters south of Louisiana and west Florida. Fortunately, the experts have increased their wave estimates for tomorrow from 2 to 3 feet to 2 to 4 feet. But early this morning, we’re still waiting for that perfect groundswell surf with offshore winds that should be on its way.
