That exciting time of year when our endangered sea turtles reproduce is here. Sea turtles nest through the summer months along the white sand beaches of west Florida. The nesting season lasts from May 1st through October 31st. During these months female turtles swim up on the beach at night time, dig nests in the sand, deposit eggs, then swim away. Clearwater Beach Sugar Sand Festival
The sugar sand, sandcastle event is being held at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach. The event runs through the 24th of April. The sandcastles are wonderfully crafted works of art. There is even a Prince image being added in honor of his passing. Get down there, and check out all of the sugar sand artwork.
